A resolution can be defined as a firm decision to do or not to do something.
New Years Resolutions begin with the want or desire to do something different and turns into us not doing all that we set out to do. So what ends up happening is we start the year with hope and end the year discouraged because perhaps we didn't fulfill everything we wanted; all the while saying next year will be different.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV)
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness
My challenge for you is to make the "next year will be different" frame of mind into each day instead of each year. Make each morning new because scripture tells us that even though we may fail or fall ever so short-God's love and compassion for doesn't fail or fall short.
As a matter of fact they are renewed each morning. What that tells me is that His love for you grows with each passing day. So my challenge for you is to make 2016 not just a new year, but a new day-each day. Each day will carry new possibilities, now hopes, new, challenges, new victories, and new blessing.
Serving God because He served me first,
